Bertie High School topples West Carteret in the first round of the State Tournament. Bertie is led by a pair of mid major players in the class of 2010 and 2011.

Keon Moore, 2010 6'3 SG, is a mid level shooter (49% from the 3) who rarely misses from deep and is able to put the ball on the floor and finish at the rim. Second time seeing him this year and with a good July his stock will go up up up.

Wy'kevin Bazemore, a 6'3 2011 4 man, is a high major athlete who really has a nose for the ball. Bazemore is the best rebounding guard I have seen over the course of the year and really make a point to fill up that category. Bazemore is extremely long and is an excellent defender. Athletically and defensively reminds us of Dexter Strickland who signed with UNC in the class of 2009. 6'9 Senior Curtis Moore is a project player but has all the physical and athletic tools to be a D1 center with a prep year or the possibility of someone wanting to take a chance late in the game. 6'8 Travis Bond is another big body who will step onto the football field with UNC next year. Tyler Perry is a pure scorer who will find a nice home at the JUCO/ Prep School level in 2010.

West Carteret, prospect wise, was led by 6'7 PF Zach Sowell and 6'5 2011 15 year old Guard Chase Cannon. Both players had an off night but we will monitor their progress over the summer.
